How to use CO2
Biogents AERO TRAP / BG-Mosquitaire – with and without CO2
Biogents offers the outdoor mosquito traps AERO TRAP and BG-Mosquitaire in two variations:
• AERO TRAP PLUS includes Biogents CO2 CONTROL SET (the CO2 bottle must be sourced separately
• The AERO TRAP and BG-Mosquitaire trap are used without CO2. If you want to add CO2 to your AERO TRAP or BG-Mosquitaire trap at a later date, you can do this by adding the CO2 CONTROL set.

Biogents CO2 CONTROL SET
What is the function of the Biogents CO2 CONTROL SET set?
Biogents CO2 CONTROL SET not only connects the trap to a CO2 bottle (the CO2 bottle must be sourced separately sourced separately). The CO2 CONTROL SETalso helps to disperse the optimal dose of CO2 to imitate a human. In addition, the release rate can be adjusted to the local and seasonal mosquito situation.
MyBiogents APP
The MyBiogents APP allows you to adjust the CO2 emission time frames. You can also receive notifications when the CO2 and attractant need to be replaced and easily access all our Biogents advice and videos.

The CO2 CONTROL SET is compatible with all CO2 cylinders including sparkling water refills with screw cap (425 g)

Use of the CO2 CONTROL SET with the BG-Moquitaire: If you own a BG-Mosquitaire trap, you will need a compatibility kit which you can obtain free of charge here.

How long does a gas bottle last?
How often you need to change the gas bottle depends on:
- what size you use and
- which time frames you have set in the MyBiogents APP for the CO2 release

Optimal and low release rate of CO2
Biogents CO2 CONTROL SET adjusts the amount of CO2 released to the amount that is optimal to attract mosquitoes. Biogents recommends a daily release of 0.5 kg. This is about the amount a small child exhales daily. For comparison, an adult human exhales about 1000 grams of CO2 daily, and an average car produces about 1500 grams of CO2 per 10 kilometers.
