This is how it works:
- 1Tiger mosquitoes that want to lay their eggs are attracted by water (preferably with organic material in it, e.g. a leaf or some blades of grass)

Un peu déçu par l'efficacité des pièges compte tenu de l'investissement
Un peu déçu par l'efficacité des pièges compte tenu de l'investissement. Je continue de les déplacer pour trouver l'emplacement idéal. Espère que ça sera mieux l'an prochain. Il est difficile d'évaluer le produit car des moustiques sont effectivement piégés mais il en reste encore beaucoup!! Je précise que j'ai investi dans un Aero trap (sans CO2) et 4 BG GAT. Je change les fiches selon les indications de l'application.

Produits très efficaces. 150 et 120 moustiques tigres piégés sur chaque bac. Je suis dans le sud de la France, je change les languettes collantes toute les semaines 1/2 environ. 2 semaines c'est trop long chez nous. J'ai installé 4 bacs aux endroits stratégiques.

J’ai un appareil Mosquitaire couplé à des BG-GATS. En 2 semaines les plaques collantes sont couvertes de moustiques ! En plaçant les appareils au bon endroit ça marche vraiment très bien.

Les moustiques tournent autour du pot et certains se font prendre. Malheureusement, malgré les captures, pas d'amélioration en terme de ressenti, difficile de dire le pourcentage d'insectes pris dans le piège.

Bonjour, très peu de moustiques pris aux pièges je pense que plutôt que de mettre e l’eau il faudrait mettre les plaquettes qui imitent l’odeur humaine (Je ne me souviens pas du nom) celles que l’on met sur l’appareil électrique biogens .(phéromones).

Je suis très satisfaite de ces pièges. Je les utilise depuis plusieurs années déjà. J'en ai racheté car certains commençaient à se détériorer (je les laisse en place tout le temps et par tous les temps). Je change régulièrement les feuilles collantes et c'est bcp de plaisir qd je vois le nombre de moustiques collés dessus ☺️

It does collect tiger mosquitos efficiently, shortly after installment I only got "normal" bites which is already an improvement, since those itch less. :D A long term overall decrease of bites is still to be seen, but so far, it's an improvement.

Les pièges ne sont vraiment efficaces qu'au bout de quinze jours mais n'éliminent pas entièrement les moustiques tigre donc efficacité moyenne, il faudrait y adjoindre une substance attractive. De plus le prix pour deux pièges est trop élevé.

Biogents BG-GAT (Gravid Aedes Trap) is a low-cost and easy to use tool that can help you reduce the Asian tiger (Aedes albopictus) and yellow fever mosquito (Aedes aegypti) population in your backyard. These species are day active, very aggressive, and can transmit diseases like dengue fever, Zika, and chikungunya. Important for the effectiveness of the trap is to reduce competitive breeding sources.
In comparison to the AERO TRAP or BG-Mosquitaire trap, it targets a different stage of the mosquitoes: Those mosquitoes that have already bitten and are now searching for a place to lay their eggs which are only a small percentage of those that are host-seeking. Therefore, the BG-GAT catches naturally less mosquitoes than the AERO TRAP or BG-Mosquitaire.
Features
The big advantage of this trap version is that it is passive, which means it does not require power or supplemental attractants like CO2 or chemical lures. This provides great flexibility in deployment and easiness in handling. Also, especially these females that are targeted with the BG-GAT, can be dangerous, as they might carry a virus and could produce about 50 – 100 descendants.
The BG-GAT uses water and oviposition cues to attract female Asian tiger and yellow fever mosquitoes that are looking for a place to lay their eggs. Once in the trap, the mosquitoes are exposed to a sticky surface and die.

Principle of function
Female Asian tiger and yellow fever mosquitoes are attracted by water and oviposition cues and enter the transparent chamber through the black funnel. Once in the chamber, mosquitoes try to escape through the translucent windows where they are captured when they contact the surface of the sticky card. The mesh provides a barrier between mosquitoes and the infused water in the lower chamber. The sticky card in the transparent chamber will kill the mosquitoes.
The BG-GAT trap was developed by Dr. Á. E. Eiras from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil and by Dr. S. A. Ritchie from the James Cook University, Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Biogents produces and distributes the trap under an exclusive license agreement with both universities.
