Which CO2 bottle do I need?
Gas cylinders are not supplied with Biogents traps.
Our traps are compatible with all sizes of CO2 cylinders, from 425g (sparkling water cylinders) up to 10kg.
For a boost up to 3 days, we recommend 425g sparkling water cylinders:
These can be easily found in shops or online, particularly in all supermarkets.
For a permanent boost, we recommend larger cylinders:
Larger gas bottles such as 5, 6, 8 or 10 kg can be acquired or rented at professional gas distributors or soft drinks distribution networks, drink retailers or bottle depots for a deposit.
A door-to-door delivery service may also be available in some locations.

How long does a gas bottle last?
How often you need to change the gas bottle depends on:
- what size you use and
- which time frames you have set in the MyBiogents APP for the CO2 release
Recommendation for the handling of gas bottles:
No additional emission of CO2
The CO2 in gas bottles is not explicitly produced to be bottled but is a recovered by-product from other industrial processes.
Therefore, the use of CO2 from gas bottles as a mosquito attractant does not represent an additional CO2 contribution to the planet, but is merely a delayed diffusion of CO2 as industrial waste.
