This is how it works:
- 1Tiger mosquitoes that want to lay their eggs are attracted by water (preferably with organic material in it, e.g. a leaf or some blades of grass)
- 2The mesh provides a barrier between the mosquitoes and the water to prevent them from laying their eggs
- 3Mosquitoes try to escape through the translucent parts of the trap
- 4By touching the specially developed sticky cards, they get stuck and die
- 5Double catch rates thanks to the Reflect-Tech technology

* Mosquito species: The AERO TRAP, like the BG-Mosquitaire, can also catch other mosquito species with additional CO2. The BG-GAT is specifically designed for tiger mosquitoes and cannot be extended with additional attractants for other mosquito species.
Combining both traps
The AERO TRAP and BG-GAT act at different points in the behaviour of the tiger mosquito. The AERO TRAP catches mosquitoes searching for a blood meal, while the BG-GAT catches mosquitoes searching for a suitable egg-laying site. In the case of a tiger mosquito infestation, it is therefore most effective to combine both types of trap.
Eliminating breeding sites in the garden
Traps alone should not be the only measure against tiger mosquitoes. To curb mosquito reproduction as effectively as possible, potential breeding sites in the garden should be regularly cleared or eliminated. The fewer alternative breeding sites available, the fewer opportunities tiger mosquitoes have to lay their eggs outside the BG-GAT.
Breeding sites that cannot be removed or drained can be treated with Biogents HYDRO FILM. The film forms a physical barrier on the water surface and helps prevent the development of mosquito larvae.

No additional emission of CO2
The CO2 in gas bottles is not explicitly produced to be bottled but is a recovered by-product from other industrial processes.
Therefore, the use of CO2 from gas bottles as a mosquito attractant does not represent an additional CO2 contribution to the planet, but is merely a delayed diffusion of CO2 as industrial waste.

I am using the product since one month ago. Purchased CO2 bottles and applied the recommendation. Some mosquitos are trapped, but overall there is still a population that doesn't allow you to get out in the yard without mosquito reppelent.

Très efficace ! Notre jardin n'est pas très grand donc nous sommes à la limite des 5m de distance du piège, mais néanmoins très satisfaits par son efficacité. Il y a toujours 2-3 moustiques qui rodent (pas 100% efficace) mais permet de rendre agréable un moment en extérieur, quand ce n'était pas le cas avant.

Au bout de 15 jours d utilisation nous avons été surpris du nombre de moustiques pris dans le piège. Nous nous sentons nettement moins cernes par ces petits volatiles même s il reste quelques individus récalcitrants pour lesquels je semble être un régal encore.

VerifiedDie Wirkung der Geräte entspricht nicht unserer Erwartung
Die Geräte wurden unmittelbar nach Erhalt entsprechend der Gebrauchsanweisung in Kombination mit einer 10kg CO2-Flasche aufgestellt und sind seit inzwischen etwa fünf Wochen ordnungsgemäß in Betrieb. Leider müssen wir feststellen, dass die erwartete Wirkung bei uns nicht eingetreten ist. Das Tigermückenvorkommen in unserem Garten hat sich nicht vermindert, sondern nach unserem Eindruck eher noch zugenommen. Die Terrasse und der Garten sind weiterhin so stark von Tigermücken betroffen, dass wir sie kaum nutzen können. Auch die beiden BG-GAT Reflect-Tech haben bislang nur sehr vereinzelt Tigermücken abgefangen. Eine erkennbare Reduzierung des Mückenbestands oder der Stechbelastung können wir nicht feststellen. Dies enttäuscht uns insbesondere angesichts der von Ihnen auf Ihrer Homepage beschriebenen hohen Wirksamkeit der Produkte und der dort dargestellten Vorteile der Kombination aus AERO TRAP PLUS mit CO2und BG-GAT Reflect-Tech. Wir möchten zudem ausdrücklich darauf hinweisen, dass wir parallel sämtliche Empfehlungen der zuständigen Behörden und der Stadtverwaltung zur Eindämmung der Tigermücken konsequent umgesetzt haben. Unter anderem haben wir sämtliche Topfuntersetzer entfernt, keine offenen Regensammelbehälter und achten sorgfältig darauf, mögliche Brutstätten zu vermeiden. Zusätzlich haben wir auch unsere Nachbarschaft mit BT-Tabletten bei der Bekämpfung unterstützt.

La difference est significative entre l’avancée du jardin qui a la machine et le fond qui ne l’a pas. On ne peut pas aller au fond en ce moment. Par contre vers la terrasse, même si ça ne les enlève pas tous c’est beaucoup plus agréable. Nous voulons tester avec le CO2, mais peinons à trouver une bouteille.

Les pièges fonctionnent très bien, j'ai vu une amélioration très nette dès les premiers jours d'utilisation avec une quantité de moustiques qui a fortement diminué dans les zones où les pièges sont installés.

Gut, aber logistisch aufwendig so oft die Soda stream Flaschen zu wechseln. Diese sind aber immerhin mehrweg. Co2 Austoß ist auch ein Nachteil. Fallen locken Gelsen an, daher müsste man Falle sehr oft verwenden um eine Auswirkung auf die Polpulation zu erzielen

C'est une solution plutôt efficace. Après, c'est un joli budget à prévoir... des sachets olfactifs pas donnés, comme les feuilles adhésives pour les pièges anti ponte. Le gas co2 qui coûte cher également. Alors, c'est effecace, beaucoup moins de piqures, mais, un budget à prévoir sur l'année...
