This is how it works:
- 1Tiger mosquitoes that want to lay their eggs are attracted by water (preferably with organic material in it, e.g. a leaf or some blades of grass)
- 2The mesh provides a barrier between the mosquitoes and the water to prevent them from laying their eggs
- 3Mosquitoes try to escape through the translucent parts of the trap
- 4By touching the specially developed sticky cards, they get stuck and die
- 5Double catch rates thanks to the Reflect-Tech technology

* With the BG-GAT trap, a lower catch rate is normal and to be expected, as it will catch those mosquitoes that are looking for an egg-laying site and not those that want to bite a human for a blood meal. This naturally affects a smaller number of mosquitoes, but they lay a large number of eggs to have offspring (50 to 100 per mosquito).

No additional emission of CO2
The CO2 in gas bottles is not explicitly produced to be bottled but is a recovered by-product from other industrial processes.
Therefore, the use of CO2 from gas bottles as a mosquito attractant does not represent an additional CO2 contribution to the planet, but is merely a delayed diffusion of CO2 as industrial waste.

Produit de qualité, facile à mettre en œuvre, même la partie gaz CO2. Application très intuitive, avec rappel pour ne pas oublier de renouveler les attractifs. Après une semaine sur piège ventilé de très nombreuses prises, de même sur les bandes collantes des pondoirs. Le positionnement des pièges est primordial comme indiqué sur le site.

The equipment is really good. It catches a lot of moskitos. I have been using it without Co2 (because im still waiting for Biogents to ship it - I have ordered it 2 months ago) and tried with a small bottle for 2 days and it was even better! However, the delivery got veryyyyy delayed.
