This is how it works:
- 1Tiger mosquitoes that want to lay their eggs are attracted by water (preferably with organic material in it, e.g. a leaf or some blades of grass)
- 2The mesh provides a barrier between the mosquitoes and the water to prevent them from laying their eggs
- 3Mosquitoes try to escape through the translucent parts of the trap
- 4By touching the specially developed sticky cards, they get stuck and die
- 5Double catch rates thanks to the Reflect-Tech technology

* With the BG-GAT trap, a lower catch rate is normal and to be expected, as it will catch those mosquitoes that are looking for an egg-laying site and not those that want to bite a human for a blood meal. This naturally affects a smaller number of mosquitoes, but they lay a large number of eggs to have offspring (50 to 100 per mosquito).

No additional emission of CO2
The CO2 in gas bottles is not explicitly produced to be bottled but is a recovered by-product from other industrial processes.
Therefore, the use of CO2 from gas bottles as a mosquito attractant does not represent an additional CO2 contribution to the planet, but is merely a delayed diffusion of CO2 as industrial waste.
Waiting for Improvement
Very disappointed, so far I genuinely believe the mosquitoes are worse than ever. The tiger mosquito traps have caught nothing. The main trap is working, but would have expected significantly more retained given the amount of them.

I have just finished my 2nd week and between the 3 traps (main + 2x breeding traps) I have caught nearly 500 mosquitoes. Finally I can begin to use my garden again (Spain near Barcelona). Hopefully another few weeks and the breeding cycle will be broken entirely and the catch numbers will drop.

We've had Aero Traps (plus several water traps) in our garden since May, and they've caught lots of mosquitoes. Unfortunately they haven't caught them all yet - we still get bitten, but maybe the mosquito population will gradually die down to nothing if we're very diligent with the traps. Fingers Crossed!

J'ai d'abord essayé sans le CO2 et j'avais captured 5 moustiques en une journée, un peu decevant même si je reconnais que les moustiques avait tendances à être plus attires par l'aéro trap que par moi. Mais quand j'ai mis en route le CO2, l'effet à été multiplied by 5. In conclusion, I recommend that you be.

Mit der Falle sind wir sehr zufrieden. Leichter Aufbau, sehr selbst erklärend. Bei den AERO TRAP Fallen Könnten von Anfang an mehr Klebestreifen dabei sein. Im Lieferumfang sind just 4 Stück danei. War mir bei der Bestellung nicht klar ersichtlich. Ansonsten kann ich die Falle nur empfehlen.

VerifiedWorks fine, not quite powerful enough - and watch out for small birds being caught!
The Aero Trap catches plenty of mosquitoes but many seem to ignore it and hover around the rest of the garden/house anyway, so unfortunately our quality of life hasn't improved much - despite the expensive trap. The BG-GAT has a design flaw in that small birds can get caught in it! We had a dead bird in one after it's only been standing around for two days - gruesome experience. I've now added some chicken wire over the traps so that no other animals can fall in anymore. Overall, while the traps seem to work, they don't solve the overall problem unfortunately. For the hefty price, I'm not sure I can recommend them.
