Great product
I've had the mosquito trap with the CO2 canister for a year now. I hardly ever use the CO2. This year, with the mosquitoes being so numerous, I filled about a third of the bag in just 15 days. (Photo from last year.) They look good enough to eat, for those who like insects. Location is very important to me; it should be in the shade under a flowerbed.
What isn't said enough to the customer is that it only works well with the CO2 canister, which is heavy, expensive, and needs to be changed every 3 weeks. The product alone is not enough.
Very easy to set up. The only thing that needs improvement is the fan noise.
Hello everyone, Since I installed a Biogents mosquito trap, we can enjoy our terrace.

Great, I don't have mosquitoes in the house anymore, it's changed my life!
Easy to use and maintain. I've been using a CO2 trap for 2 years, and it definitely does its job. I live in the province of Lodi, and there are a lot of mosquitoes. This certainly helps, but it's not enough. I also have other traps, but despite everything, I still have to treat them every now and then. I recommend it, however, as it's a great help. Refilling the CO2 is complicated in this area. The photos are without the CO2 tank because they were taken in winter.
⚠️ TRAP INTENDED FOR OUTDOOR USE ⚠️ OPTIMIZING THE ACTIVE TRAP THE BASICS: Remove all standing water: buckets, toys, watering cans, tires, clean gutters/ditches/siphons/fountains, empty saucers/bowls/parasol bases, check for watering leaks, hermetically seal the water collector, ventilate your strawberry plants/other plants, water only at night, ...💡 In an apartment: clean drains and prevent water from pooling under the floor tiles. - Installation of additional PASSIVE TRAPS (prevents egg-laying) - IDEAL LOCATION: in the shade, in a humid area, away from drafts/wind - Cover as large an area as possible with several of these ACTIVE and PASSIVE traps - BAIT MUST BE CHANGED REGULARLY: every 2 months according to the instructions, but ideally every month. Therefore, potentially from MAY to OCTOBER depending on the region ⚠️ - Capture net MUST BE CLEANED REGULARLY - CO2 SYSTEM to increase your catches: 10kg refill (available at Metro) ~ €37 ⚠️ Power outlet nearby (cord long enough) ♻️ TURN OFF THE DEVICE AT NIGHT: the tiger mosquito is diurnal. ⚠️ PROTECT FROM RAIN 👌 Install mosquito nets ℹ️ Wear LIGHT-COLORED clothing when outdoors ❤️ Raise awareness among your neighbors by showing them your catches to convince them 💰 Significant budget per season: - Equipment (~€125 for the ACTIVE bait and ~€45 for the 2 PASSIVE baits) - Refills (~€42 for 3 baits and ~€13 for 30 sticky strips) ♻️ ENCOURAGE PREDATORS: In aquatic environments, the larvae are prey for other species: dragonflies or beetles, as well as fish.

I bought the pack which included: ► 1BG-Mosquitaire: This is a trap that attracts female mosquitoes using a sachet of BG-Sweetscent attractant, and traps them with a ventilation system that manages both the diffusion of the attractive scent and the continuous suction of mosquitoes into the capture net. It needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet, but fortunately the cord is quite long. The fan is a little noisy, however, since the trap should be kept away from living areas (patio, balcony, or high-traffic areas), the noise level is perfectly acceptable, even in a small 100m² garden. I took a picture of the capture net, but unfortunately, it's not very clear in the rain... Note that you may also find gnats, butterflies, bees, or even snails that have come to take shelter in the net. It should therefore be checked and replaced from time to time. ► 2 BG-GATs: These traps create a favorable breeding ground for mosquitoes simply by pouring water into them (like rainwater collectors or saucers of stagnant water). Once inside, the female mosquitoes will stick their legs and wings to the double-sided sticky strip inserted inside. During breeding season (as soon as it gets a little warmer and more humid), this trap is incredibly effective! Knowing that each female tiger mosquito can lay around 750 eggs in her lifetime, it becomes a real pleasure to check the sticky strip 😁 After a full season, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. Both types of traps have their uses and work very well together. Proper placement is absolutely essential! I followed the installation manual's recommendations, but I still had to make several attempts before finding the right spots because my garden doesn't really look like the one described in the instructions 🙃 I also live near the city center, so the mosquitoes must adapt to these conditions and perhaps behave a little differently. You have to test them in your own environment. In conclusion, I recommend these traps, which remain affordable, especially during sales events like Black Friday or spring promotions. Of course, there are consumables to buy every year, but that's also the price of peace of mind. Seeing how effective they were, my neighbors bought the same pack, and since then they've been catching even more mosquitoes because their garden is very lush. Even if we're not talking about 100% capture and eradication (for that, everyone would have to do their part), we've definitely noticed a decrease in the number of mosquitoes and, consequently, fewer bites!
Quite disappointed with the quality of the transparent lid of this trap which I bought in the spring of 2022. Indeed, this year, despite having brought it inside during the winter for the past 3 years, it cracked before falling to pieces.
This is a very good trap for reducing the mosquito population, though it won't eliminate it completely (it's important to be aware of this). Placement is crucial for maximum effectiveness, and you should avoid being too close to the trap. I've had mine for five years and it's still working well. Overall, I'm satisfied, and I'm thinking of adding CO2 for even greater effectiveness.
I use four mosquito traps and one outdoor trap. While the traps are effective—the sticky traps are full of tiger mosquitoes—the outdoor trap doesn't do its job. The fact that it's electric is impractical in a garden where you have to find the most suitable location for maximum capture. Isn't there another power source, like a battery or solar power?
I've been using Biogent mosquito traps for 5 years now: - You need to test the ideal location for each trap (evaluate the capture rate in 24 hours in different locations). - You need to change the attractant every month. - You need to put the traps out quite early (in the south of France, as early as May) and remove them at the beginning of November... when the temperature drops below 12-14°C. - Every year, the number of mosquitoes decreases...
No results, very few mosquitoes captured. We are very disappointed.
Unfair advertising. They send out a Black Friday promotional email with a 30% discount offer. When you try to order, only the regular price is displayed. Unacceptable.
Essential for those who have green spaces!!
We were invaded by tiger mosquitoes. Since purchasing 2 active traps and 4 bowls, all carefully installed, we are living again and can enjoy our terrace. In 3 years, I have noticed a gradual decrease in mosquitoes at my home. At the same time, I made sure to cover all the water tanks. I recommend it.

Mosquito bites cause temporary inconveniences like itching, swelling, soreness or redness. But these effects aren’t the only reasons for controlling your local mosquito population. In many regions of the world, mosquitoes also spread serious diseases like dengue, chikungunya, zika, or malaria. For this reason, you’ll want an active approach to mosquito population control. Insect killer sprays and coil repellents get the job done but they release toxic fumes that affect the surrounding environment and lead to the development of resistance. Instead, use sustainable Biogents mosquito trap systems that effectively lure in the mosquitoes.
Biogents mosquito traps can locally control mosquito populations and significantly reduce biting pressure and nuisance. With more than 200,000 traps sold, Biogents is one of the market leaders for traps against tiger mosquitoes (Asian tiger mosquito, Aedes albopictus, and dengue or yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti).
Control your location’s mosquito population by investing in mosquito trap systems that have been scientifically proven by researchers as well as local and international authorities and organizations all around the world.
Biogents offers insecticide-free mosquito trap systems which specifically target only mosquitoes and do not attract any beneficial insects like butterflies or bees.
There are two trap types available:
The suction traps (BG-Mosquitaire and BG-Home) imitate a human being and target mosquitoes that want to bite you. Without CO2, it efficiently attracts the Asian tiger mosquito and the yellow fever mosquito. Since the odor of human skin is a strong attractant for mosquitoes, Biogents developed an attractant that mimics this scent to lure the mosquitoes in. With the addition of CO2, the spectrum of captured mosquitoes is widened and catch rates can be increased.
The other trap type (BG-GAT) imitates a breeding site and targets female tiger mosquitoes that want to lay their eggs. By removing these mosquitoes, the BG-GAT trap helps to stop future generations of tiger mosquitoes and limit population expansion. Invest in a sustainable mosquito control system that filters out blood-feeding insects without disrupting the rest of your ecosystem.
