* Mosquito species: The AERO TRAP, like the BG-Mosquitaire, can also catch other mosquito species with additional CO2. The BG-GAT is specifically designed for tiger mosquitoes and cannot be extended with additional attractants for other mosquito species.
Combining both traps
The AERO TRAP and BG-GAT act at different points in the behaviour of the tiger mosquito. The AERO TRAP catches mosquitoes searching for a blood meal, while the BG-GAT catches mosquitoes searching for a suitable egg-laying site. In the case of a tiger mosquito infestation, it is therefore most effective to combine both types of trap.
Eliminating breeding sites in the garden
Traps alone should not be the only measure against tiger mosquitoes. To curb mosquito reproduction as effectively as possible, potential breeding sites in the garden should be regularly cleared or eliminated. The fewer alternative breeding sites available, the fewer opportunities tiger mosquitoes have to lay their eggs outside the BG-GAT.
Breeding sites that cannot be removed or drained can be treated with Biogents HYDRO FILM. The film forms a physical barrier on the water surface and helps prevent the development of mosquito larvae.

After one week, the Aero Trap has caught 11 mosquitoes, while one of the BG-GAT Reflect traps has caught only 3. Meanwhile, there are still plenty of mosquitoes in our garden and house, and they continue to bother us. Considering the high price of these traps, I expected significantly better results. So far, I am disappointed with their performance.

Die Aero Trap funktioniert großartig und das zusätzliche CO2 bringt tatsächlich noch einen signifikant größeren Erfolg. Zu den zwei BG-Gat kann ich nicht viel sagen, die sind nicht sehr besucht, kann aber am Aufstellort liegen.

Installé en fin de saison, semble très efficace : dès les 1er jour (sans aérer le produit, odeur de plastique) il y avait déjà pas mal de moustiques piégé. Un seul regret : ne pas l'avoir acheté et installé plus tôt. Le ventilateur pourrait être moins bruyant.

L'aero trap est plutôt efficace, il faut trouver le bon emplacement, je me demande s'il ne m'en faudrait pas un 2eme pour couvrir mon terrain de 500m2. Par contre je ne suis pas certain de l'utilité des BG-CAT. En effet la bande autocollante est petite et le piège n'attire pas tellement les moustiques.

Je ne regrette pas mon achat! !! Bien qu'ayant tardé à l'installer (en septembre), j'ai pu constater une chute drastique des ennemis de la liberté volants et piquants ! L'installation de l'appareil est simple (même s'il me reste à tester d'autres endroits) et efficace. N'hésitez pas à bien éloigner l'Aero trap, respecter la distance de la terrasse, car lui, il attire pour piéger. Mais les BG-GAT sont passifs...

Le piège actif est vraiment efficace en terme de captation. Difficile de savoir si c'est significatif étant donné le nombre important de moustique qu'il peut y avoir dans le jardin lais j'ai tout de même l'impression qu'il y en a moins qui le tournent autour depuis que j'ai installé ce pack. Une seule certitude : il y en a des dizaines dans le piège chaque semaine.

Bien, un peu bruyant à poser comme le conseil le fabricant à environ 6m. On a même capturé un frelon asiatique sur le papier collant. Je pense prendre un troisième BG-GAT. Cela vient en complément de spirale, on profite de la terrasse.
