Floodwater mosquitoes
Floodwater mosquitoes usually occur in very large swarms and can be active day and night. They lay their eggs in regions that are flooded. After floods, masses of larvae can hatch almost simultaneously.
Tiger mosquitoes
Unlike most other mosquitoes, tiger mosquitoes are day biters. They are small, black and white striped as well as unusually aggressive. Female tiger mosquitoes normally lay their eggs in natural or artificial containers filled with water (e.g., water residues in flower vases), no matter how small they are, making the Asian tiger mosquito perfectly adapted to the urban environment.

Frankly, I think that the effectiveness of this product is relative... I certainly catch mosquitos, but I always have too many that rot our lives and prevent us from enjoying our terrace. I have to add spirals to keep them out. In short, I am not really satisfied.

The kit is very easy to install. The catch rate is much greater than with the trap alone. The difference is striking. On the other hand, you must keep it away from your terrace or from the place you want to protect. We took 10 kg CO2 bottles that we found at a drinks retailer.

Practical for not consuming too much CO2. Very easy to install in the App. Bluetooth range is good. Perhaps there is an option missing to force the c02 into manual mode temporarily when you have a program.

Increase in the number of shots compared to a trap without CO2. According to my experience (1 month of use) makes it possible to limit the volume of bites but not to completely eliminate the discomfort caused by our bloodthirsty friends. It may be worth the investment if you are allergic to limit the quantity of injections. For comfortable use or to no longer have mosquitoes at all, it is a little less interesting. C02 bottles have a fairly high cost to add in addition to the price of the device.

The CO2 CONTROL SET upgrades your Biogents suction trap to catch all mosquito species
If you are bothered by mosquitoes mainly in the evening, or if you live near a flood plain, the reason for the nuisance is most probably not the tiger mosquito, but house or floodwater mosquitoes. In this case, it is necessary to add CO2 and the CO2 CONTROL SET to the Biogents suction trap to increase capture rates for these mosquito species.
CO2 is an important attractant for all mosquito species. CO2 and the Biogents SWEETSCENT/ BG-Sweetscent work together as synergists. Together they can greatly increase the number of captured mosquito species and maximize the capture rate (also for tiger mosquitoes). The CO2 CONTROL SET helps disperse the optimum dose of CO2 and the release rate can be adjusted to the local and seasonal mosquito situation. The release rate corresponds to the amount of CO2 a small child releases.

* At the beginning of the nuisance, we recommend to start with 24 hours continuous CO2. When the population decreases, the CO2 timer can be switched to the recommended time frames.
