What exactly is it?
BG-Sweetscent – an artificial odor that mimics scents found on human skin
- Sachet filled with insecticide-free components attractive for mosquitoes in granular form.
- Patented formulation based on lactic acid developed by Biogents as a result of 16 years of academic research into the host-finding behavior of mosquitoes.nto the host-finding behavior of mosquitoes.
- The light and permeable dispenser guarantees an effective release of the scent. All components are of food grade quality.
How to use the BG-Sweetscent in your trap
How it works:
- 1Place the sachet in your trap
- 2The upwards directed air flow of the trap imitates convection currents of a human body and dispenses the artificial human skin scent
- 3To keep the trap‘s performance consistently high, replace the sachet after two months
- 4Tip for the BG-Home indoor trap: Place the bag in fresh air for 2 days before use. The initially strong odor subsides after 2-3 days.
Sophisticated Technology
- An optimal imitation of human odors
The arrangement of the active molecules resembles the way that human skin odors are emitted. - Ideal odor release
The attractant is not given off all at once after the package is opened but consistently over time. This is achieved by incorporating the active components into specific polymeres. - Measured effect
The effect of the Biogents attractant was measured in numerous studies.

VerifiedBiogents in the News
CATCH MORE MOSQUITOES USING BG-SWEETSCENT
Unique mosquito attractant that mimics human skin scents without using any insecticides. Refill package for Biogents suction traps and other mosquito traps which is essential for the effectiveness of the trap.
Mosquitoes use human scents to locate their victim. Using patented technology we have recreated this scent irresistible to mosquitoes. Our artificial BG-Sweetscent is released in a way that mimics a person, so mosquitoes follow the scent plume to the trap. It makes mosquito traps even more attractive for Asian tiger mosquitoes and yellow fever mosquitoes.
The sachet is placed inside the trap and it is effective for up to two months. BG-Sweetscent is to be used with the BG-Mosquitaire (+/- CO2), BG-Home or other traps that attract biting mosquitoes.
